Despite his contributions to the club, including a critical goal against Manchester City last April, some fans questioned the sale due to a lack of squad depth and Holding&#8217;s experience.<\/p>\n<p>However, Holding&#8217;s career has stalled since his move to Crystal Palace, and he has yet to make a Premier League appearance for the team after undergoing foot and ankle surgery in January. Former manager Roy Hodgson was uncertain about his return date.<\/p>\n<p>Holding has only made one cup appearance for Crystal Palace, receiving a yellow card in a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United. Despite his previous successes at Arsenal and a regular place in the 2020\/21 season, his future at Palace seems uncertain under new manager Oliver Glasner.<\/p>\n<p>With his contract running until 2026, Holding&#8217;s hopes of a full international call-up also appear to be diminishing.
