Brentford have gained recognition for their playing style under Frank’s leadership. The Danish head coach possesses many of the traits that have contributed to Klopp’s success at Anfield. In a match last November, despite a 3-0 loss to Liverpool, Frank’s team received high praise from Klopp for their performance.

The German acknowledged that he builds teams to be challenging to defeat and saw that quality in Brentford’s play. There are clear similarities between Frank and Klopp’s styles. Both coaches aim to create teams that are tough to play against and prioritize defensive solidity.

The development of young players and the energetic pressing style at Brentford resemble Klopp’s approach. Frank’s ability to form a defensively solid team that excels in transition, led by prolific striker Ivan Toney, has positioned him as a potential candidate for the Liverpool job. With three years of Premier League experience and having established Brentford as regulars in the league, he provides continuity for Klopp’s legacy, particularly in maintaining pressure on Manchester City despite financial constraints.

Trent Alexander-Arnold highlighted the mentality instilled by Klopp, emphasizing the emphasis on being the hardest team to beat. This aligns with Frank’s approach at Brentford. His success in achieving top-level performance with limited resources has attracted attention, with Tottenham reported to have considered him for a managerial position before appointing Ange Postecoglou.

While Dutch manager Slot could also be a strong contender for the Liverpool job due to his attacking style and past successes, Frank’s consistent overachievement with a similar style at Brentford warrants his inclusion in the discussion.
