Despite their nearing contract expiries, they are expected to represent the club again as part of a handful of injury boosts. Ten Hag expressed his belief that Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, and Martial will all return to action this season, as they have made progress in their recoveries and are expected to participate in team training next week.
He mentioned that they are on track to be available for the last few weeks of the season. Shaw has been limited to 15 appearances this season and has been out of action since February 15, prompting rumors of the club prioritizing a new left-back in the summer.
Martinez has also faced challenges, playing only 11 games due to complications from foot surgery, a separate knee issue, and a calf strain.
