Arsenal risks losing £50m star to Liverpool if Naby Keita transfer tactic is repeated.

Jurgen Klopp’s tenure at Anfield is nearing its end, with just three games remaining. The Reds are already planning for the future, with Arne Slot expected to take over from Klopp.

Liverpool has agreed on a compensation package with his current club Feyenoord, and personal terms are likely to be a formality as Slot has expressed his desire for the job. He is set to take on the role of ‘head coach’, focusing on coaching and team development, and will collaborate with the new sporting director to identify transfer targets.

Reports suggest that Liverpool is interested in Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho, with the club concerned about his value potentially skyrocketing after another year in the Bundesliga. Despite Frankfurt’s reluctance to let him go, Liverpool could employ a strategy used successfully in the past to secure his transfer.

With Joel Matip expected to leave on a free transfer, a central defender is likely to be high on Liverpool’s wish list. This potential move for Pacho could mean another addition.

Additionally, Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruida is reportedly eager to join Slot at Anfield. Naby Keita, despite winning the Premier League and Champions League during his time at Anfield, faced challenges due to injuries.

He made only a few appearances last season before joining Werder Bremen on a free transfer. However, his return to Germany has not been smooth, with reports of alleged refusal to travel with the team leading to a suspension until the end of the season.
