Player rejects rumors linking him to Man Utd and denies discussions with Erik ten Hag – ‘I have changed my contact details’

Brian Brobbey, the Ajax forward, has dismissed rumors of a move to Manchester United in January, despite reports suggesting that he would be interested in reuniting with Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford. Brobbey has been in impressive form this season, scoring 16 goals for Ajax in all competitions, leading to speculation about his future. It has been reported that United had previously tried and failed to sign Brobbey, and there have been contacts made for a potential move this month. However, Brobbey has stated that he has no plans to leave Ajax at the moment, but hinted that a move could be possible in the future.

In an interview, Brobbey also revealed that he has had no contact with Erik ten Hag since they parted ways, explaining that they used to text occasionally but he now has a new number. Brobbey is currently under contract with Ajax until 2027 and will be looking to continue impressing in the Netherlands for the rest of the season. His goals have been crucial in helping Ajax recover from a slow start to the campaign, although they still trail PSV by 21 points in the Eredivisie. Ajax coach John van ‘t Schip has expressed his desire to keep Brobbey at the club, stating that it would require significant amounts of money for a deal to happen.

Overall, Brobbey seems committed to staying at Ajax for now, but the possibility of a move to Manchester United or elsewhere in the future remains open.
