Liverpool assistant dismisses Mohamed Salah concern as Mane and Firmino make bold claim

Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders has responded to concerns that Mohamed Salah’s absence due to injury could negatively impact the team’s successful season. Lijnders dismisses these claims, praising the current attacking options and highlighting how the team’s dynamics have improved since Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane’s departures.

Previously, with Salah, Mane, and Firmino leading the attack, the team’s setup was settled and difficult to change, as taking off Salah or Mane was not often considered. However, currently, the team has more flexibility and unpredictability. From the 60th minute onwards, the team can alter their offensive strategy, such as pairing Mo and Darwin together as two close strikers or using Jota and Cody, while also introducing fresh players on the wings. This versatility provides a significant advantage, as the squad boasts numerous offensive weapons.

Furthermore, Klopp now possesses an attacking depth that can propel the team towards winning trophies, even without Salah’s contribution.
