Possible addition of player with ‘attitude problems’ to Man Utd dressing room today
Ekitike has been struggling for regular game time at Paris Saint-Germain, with reports suggesting that his attitude has drawn criticism internally over the last few months. It seems as though United could bring him to Old Trafford before tonight’s deadline, with TEAMtalk reporting that Ekitike has been offered to the Red Devils on a temporary basis. It is said that Ekitike has been informed by PSG that he will not be given minutes in the second half of the season, opening the door for a loan move in the final hours of the January window.
Club officials have reportedly offered his services to United and several other Premier League teams, with the striker’s immediate future up in the air as things stand. Ekitike has been the subject of internal criticism at PSG, according to RMC Sport, with his attitude thought to have come under fire in recent months. He was reportedly banned from playing after refusing to join Frankfurt as a bargaining chip in the deal that saw Randal Kolo Muani move to PSG over the summer.
Ekitike is also said to have accused PSG of rejecting loan offers with a purchase option, including one from Crystal Palace for around £30 million. A move to United would give him the opportunity to rediscover his scoring form on English shores, but it has been reported by Sport1 that he is not being considered by those at Old Trafford. The Red Devils were said to have explored the idea of recruiting a new forward earlier this month but it seems that any deals will need to wait until the summer.
