AC Milan owner considers offering new job to Djokovic
The record-breaking Grand Slam holder is a self-confessed AC Milan fan, but an approach from the team did not materialize. After acquiring the seven-time European champions for £950 million in August 2022, the club has not added to their tally of 19 league championships. The RedBird CEO was considering turning to Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic to instill a winning mentality within the Milan ranks. Djokovic was seen as someone who could help the team’s players develop an elite mentality by giving motivational speeches.
It remains to be seen if Djokovic would have accepted any proposals from RedBird in this regard, but it is clear that he has a strong love for the iconic San Siro outfit. The 36-year-old has previously confessed that he developed a love for football through his father, a professional footballer, and has always been a big fan of AC Milan. He has also spoken about his close relationship with ex-Milan superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic, expressing his admiration for football and his recreational involvement in the sport.
