The club is also looking to sell four homegrown players to improve their Financial Fair Play standing. Conor Gallagher, Ian Maatsen, Armando Broja, and Trevoh Chalobah find their futures uncertain, with potential sales looming despite the closure of the January transfer window.
Gallagher was recently linked with a move to Tottenham but could be sold next summer due to his contract situation. Chelsea has also secured a financial windfall for Maatsen, who has a buyout clause in his new contract and has moved to Borussia Dortmund on loan with a permanent option.
Broja joined Fulham on loan with a buyout clause, and Chalobah’s potential move in January was affected by his fitness issues. The club is looking to make player sales in order to pursue key targets, with Pochettino rumored to be interested in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has a release clause of £103m in his contract in Italy.
