Chelsea podría no despedir a Mauricio Pochettino debido a estrictas reglas de la Premier League

Mauricio Pochettino made an honest admission after Chelsea’s loss to Wolves, acknowledging the increasing pressure as Blues boss and the concern about the financial implications of sacking him. The team’s defeat by Wolves prompted fresh conversations about Pochettino’s position and capability to lead the club. Despite their poor form, Chelsea may have their hands tied by the Premier League’s spending rules, with fears that sacking Pochettino would breach the guidelines and cause financial strain.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea is concerned that sacking Pochettino, who has 18 months left on his contract, would incur a fee of at least £10 million which they may not be able to afford at present. Any pay-off for Pochettino and his backroom team would be under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, which the club is already striving to comply with. The team attempted to raise funds during the January transfer window to strengthen their position but was unsuccessful.
