Christian Eriksen’s future at Manchester United for the upcoming season is uncertain, amid speculation about a potential transfer. Brentford manager Thomas Frank has openly expressed his feelings regarding the midfielder’s possible departure from the club.
Since joining United in 2022 as a free agent, Eriksen’s role at Old Trafford has diminished, with him being less of a prominent figure in the team. Despite being valued by manager Erik ten Hag, Eriksen has found himself behind Kobbie Mainoo and Scott McTominay in the team selection.
With less than 18 months remaining on his contract and having started only nine Premier League games this season, there is a possibility that United might opt to sell him this summer before his contract expires. Thomas Frank has assured that Eriksen will always be welcomed back at Brentford while he is in charge.
He made this statement to Danish magazine Tipsbladet, expressing his appreciation for Eriksen’s time at the club and acknowledging the reasons for his move to United. Frank also acknowledged Eriksen’s positive contribution, despite the injury he suffered before Christmas.
He emphasized that Eriksen will be warmly welcomed back if he chooses to return to Brentford in the future.
