Hugo Lloris has left the club on a permanent deal and joined Los Angeles FC. Eric Dier has headed to Bayern Munich on loan. Sergio Reguilon and Ivan Perisic have also departed, joining Brentford and Hajduk Split, respectively, on temporary deals. Another significant departure is Alejo Veliz, who made a deadline day switch to Sevilla for the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old player joined from Rosario Central in the summer, and despite scoring once, is seen as a part of the future according to Messi. Spurs are currently in talks with Galatasaray over midfielder Giovani Lo Celso. With limited playing time this season, Lo Celso is reportedly open to the switch. Initially recommended to Barcelona by Messi, his potential move to the Turkish Super Lig is not expected to cause much regret among fans.
Lo Celso initially joined on a season-long loan deal from Real Betis before making the deal permanent in 2020. However, he has had limited playing time, with only 59 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham, mostly coming from the bench and scoring nine times.
