Riyad Mahrez’s spouse ‘surprised to find Nandos in Saudi Arabia’ as she shares insights on life.
Riyad Mahrez’s wife, Taylor Ward, recently shared her experiences living as a WAG in Saudi Arabia. She described it as “very different” from England but still managed to find familiarity, such as a Nando’s chain.
Mahrez made a switch to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia, signing a four-year deal worth a reported £180 million in the summer. Ward initially felt overwhelmed by the decision to leave Manchester, but has since adapted and is enjoying her new life.
She noted the absence of alcohol but has found unexpected pleasant surprises, such as the friendliness of the people. Ward described the vibe in Saudi Arabia as more relaxed compared to the bustling life in Manchester, while also acknowledging the absence of regular social outings and gatherings.
Despite missing friends and family, she appreciates the warm reception and feels like she’s on holiday rather than having permanently moved. While some may not have adjusted well to life in the Middle East, Taylor Ward expressed her genuine liking for it and indicated that they have found a permanent home in Jeddah.
She emphasized the enjoyable experience and expressed no desire to move elsewhere in the foreseeable future.
