Wayne Rooney speaks out about ‘plans to become a boxer’ with KSI’s Misfits company
Wayne Rooney has no plans to enter the boxing ring, despite rumors about a potential move into the world of boxing. Reports surfaced that Rooney was in talks with Misfits, a promotional company founded by YouTube star KSI.
However, Rooney stated that he is focused on returning to football management. He clarified that while Misfits had approached him, his current priority is to get back into football management after a disappointing time at Birmingham City.
Rooney was recently sacked by Birmingham City after a spell in which he won only two out of 15 matches in charge. He expressed disappointment over the decision, feeling that he should have been given more time to bring about the necessary changes.
Despite the setback, Rooney plans to take some time with his family before pursuing the next managerial opportunity. It was noted that Rooney has a strong interest in boxing, having been a member of an amateur boxing club during his childhood and being a fan of the sport.
However, his primary focus remains on returning to football management.
