Ederson spitting and nose-picking incident as TNT Sports bans camera at Man City
Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson was captured on camera spitting and picking his nose on the bench during his team’s 4-2 victory against Crystal Palace. Although not in the starting lineup due to an injury, he was seen in a compromising position while his replacement, Stefan Ortega, demonstrated skill under pressure. The TNT Sports commentary humorously mentioned that Ederson might be banned from their coverage as a result of his actions. Commentator Darren Fletcher stated they would not be showing Ederson again after catching him picking his nose and spitting.
These actions provoked a chuckle from co-commentator Lucy Ward. During the game, Ortega successfully maneuvered the ball under pressure from Jean-Philippe Mateta, and later executed a skillful move, resembling a Cruyff turn, to clear the ball and prevent a goal. Meanwhile, Mateta managed to give Crystal Palace an early lead, but Kevin De Bruyne equalized with a stunning curling shot. Rico Lewis then secured the lead for Manchester City shortly after halftime.
Erling Haaland and De Bruyne added two more goals before Odsonne Edouard scored a late consolation for Crystal Palace.
