Man City Avoids Punishment for 115 Alleged Charges as Everton Faces Sanctions Again

The punishment, which Everton intends to appeal, comes after the club admitted to a financial loss exceeding the permitted amount over a given three-year period.
This decision has been made while charges hang over Manchester City, causing concern among football fans. The Toffees have been punished for the three-year cycle up to the 2022-23 season and feel they are subject to a “double punishment” after a previous deduction of 10 points was reduced to six upon appeal. Nottingham Forest also faced a deduction of four points for a breach of PSR, putting both clubs in a struggle to survive in the Premier League.

City was charged with breaking financial rules over a nine-year period from 2009 to 2018, with the Premier League claiming a failure to provide accurate financial information.
