Gary Lineker picks out Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka, and Cole Palmer as Man City labeled ‘stupid’

Palmer recently delivered an outstanding performance in a match against Manchester United, clinching a remarkable hat-trick and contributing to Chelsea’s noteworthy Premier League comeback victory. However, football pundit Gary Lineker appears to remain skeptical about Palmer’s standing compared to players like Foden and Saka. On the show “The Rest Is Football,” Lineker asked the question: “Buy, bench, or sell: Saka, Foden, or Palmer? Who wants to go first?

They’re all wonderfully talented, gifted players who we all love.” Micah Richards, another pundit, shared his opinion, stating: “I’ll go first, I’ll set the standard. Buy Foden, bench Saka, and sell Palmer. That’s what I’ll go with.”

Lineker appeared to agree, expressing discomfort at the thought of placing Saka on the bench and selling Palmer, suggesting that only Manchester City would make such a decision. It is evident that Palmer has had a significant impact on Chelsea’s success this season. However, he has not yet achieved the same level of recognition as Foden and Saka, who have enjoyed success at Manchester City and Arsenal, respectively. Despite this, there is potential for Palmer to attain similar status in the future if he continues to develop.

His impressive form has likely secured him a place in England’s squad for the upcoming Euros, and even Mauricio Pochettino has acknowledged his remarkable progress by expressing surprise at his performance and potential high transfer value.
