Jurgen Klopp may be in line to become the manager of Germany’s national team once he leaves Liverpool. The former Borussia Dortmund boss has been linked to the position before, and there could be an opening if Julian Nagelsmann decides to return to club football.

In January, Klopp announced that he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season due to feeling ‘running out of energy’ at the club. He felt it was his responsibility to step down at the right time, as the club’s owners would not have sacked him. Liverpool has been considering potential successors, with Xabi Alonso and Ruben Amorim emerging as candidates.

Even though Klopp initially stated that he would take at least a year off from football, he might consider changing his decision, especially if Nagelsmann leaves his position as the Germany national team boss. According to Sport1, Nagelsmann has received an offer from an unnamed Premier League club for the next season, sparking interest from clubs like Manchester United and Newcastle. Klopp could be keeping a close eye on this situation if the German national team requires a new manager.

The German Football Association (DFB) has expressed interest in acquiring Klopp’s services, and they may have the opportunity to do so after the Euro tournament when Nagelsmann re-evaluates his options. As Klopp prepares to leave Liverpool, he is determined to finish on a high by aiming to win a treble, although their recent 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in the Europa League has dented his chances.
