Erik ten Hag leaves Man Utd press conference after being compared to David Moyes

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, left his post-match press conference in frustration after the team secured a lucky 2-2 draw against Bournemouth. The Dutchman became agitated when questioned about his team’s current league position, given their recent run of just one win in seven top-flight games, leaving them in sixth place, 10 points behind Tottenham. There are concerns about being overtaken by West Ham and Chelsea, with Ten Hag being pressed about the possibility of finishing below seventh, which would be the worst Premier League finish in the history of the club. However, he left the press conference without responding to these questions.

There has been speculation about Ten Hag’s position since the arrival of new minority stakeholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who has not publicly supported him. Ten Hag mentioned after the game that it was up to the supporters whether they would be patient with the team, given their current challenges. He emphasized the need for the team to perform at their best for the entire 90 minutes despite the difficulties they are facing.
