Roma’s Evan Ndicka collapsed on the pitch during the Serie A clash between Roma and Udinese, which resulted in the suspension of the game. With the score tied at 1-1, Ndicka, an Ivorian centre-back, fell to the ground, prompting the medical staff to rush onto the field.
His Roma teammates formed a protective ring around the scene as he received lengthy treatment before being stretchered off the field to applause inside the Stadio Friuli. Ndicka was subsequently taken to the hospital for tests, and as a result, the game was abandoned by officials.
