The goalkeeper at Villarreal has made a strong impression this season, leading to the possibility of a bidding war for his services in the upcoming summer transfer window. Mikel Arteta is anticipated to reorganize the team’s goalkeeping ranks at the end of the season, with Aaron Ramsdale attracting interest from various clubs across Europe.
Despite expressing his dislike for being the second-choice goalkeeper, Ramsdale faces stiff competition from David Raya, making it difficult for him to regain his starting position. As a result, Arsenal may consider selling Ramsdale to raise funds for new signings. Villarreal’s Jorgensen has also caught the attention of clubs, including those in north London, as a potential backup goalkeeper who could further develop and eventually challenge the current first-choice goalkeepers.
Both Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in Jorgensen, but his contractual obligations with Villarreal until 2027 mean that any potential move would require a substantial transfer fee. Former Manchester United star Andy Cole has encouraged Ramsdale to seek a move away from Arsenal, citing his talent and the lack of respect shown to him by the manager. Cole believes that Ramsdale would excel at Newcastle if given the opportunity, and that he deserves better treatment considering his contributions to Arsenal.
