Chelsea players advised to mature as three of them dispute over taking penalty against Everton.

Chelsea’s win over Everton was marred by an altercation that occurred before Cole Palmer’s penalty. During the match, a trio of Chelsea players, Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, and Nicolas Jackson, vied for the opportunity to take the second-half penalty. Captain Conor Gallagher had to intervene and break up the disagreement.

Despite being ahead by four goals, there was significant debate within the Chelsea team over who should take the penalty. Both Madueke and Jackson were eager to take the kick, but ultimately, skipper Gallagher handed the ball to Palmer. Jackson appeared to try to take the ball from Palmer, but Palmer remained focused and maintained his perfect penalty record for Chelsea.

However, the incident did not overshadow Palmer’s outstanding performance. He scored a hattrick and Jackson also found the back of the net before the penalty drama unfolded. Additionally, Alfie Gilchrist netted in added time, contributing to the team’s comprehensive victory.

Overall, it was a successful evening for Chelsea, but the penalty altercation was the only negative aspect. The team is now looking ahead to the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.
