Julian Nagelsmann is reportedly among the candidates to replace Erik ten Hag as Manchester United boss this summer if Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS decide to make a change. The 36-year-old could be interested in the opportunity, as he has openly expressed his admiration for the club.
His Germany contract expires after the tournament, potentially opening the door to take up a club offer if he is satisfied with the terms. Reports suggest he is on United’s radar, and ex-United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has recommended Nagelsmann to Old Trafford figures.
Ahead of taking his RB Leipzig side to United in October 2020, Nagelsmann admitted his excitement about entering the Old Trafford dugout. He also expressed his desire to be part of the stadium and referred to significant games in Manchester United’s history.
Although Nagelsmann’s Leipzig team lost 5-0 in that game, they later knocked United out of the group stage. Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions, and adverts from us and our partners.
