The club’s chiefs are said to be ready to support a £160 million transfer pursuit of Alexander Isak and Michael Olise to bolster Mikel Arteta’s squad for a potential Premier League title challenge in the next season. The Gunners aim to address their lack of attacking depth in the upcoming summer transfer window, with further significant spending anticipated.

Arteta’s team has been lacking a prolific No. 9 throughout the current season.

Arsenal is expected to seek a new center-forward in the summer, with reports suggesting their interest in Newcastle star Isak. The Sweden international, who was previously linked with Arsenal before joining Newcastle, has scored 21 goals in all competitions.

According to the Guardian, Arsenal’s pursuit of Isak will also be accompanied by an interest in Crystal Palace playmaker Olise. Various reports indicate that Isak could come with a hefty price tag of £100 million.

The Guardian also reports that Isak’s Sweden teammate, Viktor Gyokeres, has been identified as an alternative striker target. Gyokeres, a former Coventry forward who has excelled for Sporting CP this season, has a £65 million release clause.

Additionally, Dusan Vlahovic, a long-term target for Arsenal, is reportedly on the club’s shortlist for new forwards. Although Vlahovic chose to move from Fiorentina to Juventus in January 2022, there are indications that Juve may need to sell key players over the summer.

Arsenal has faced setbacks in their pursuit of silverware this season, with their defeat by Aston Villa causing them to concede the top spot in the Premier League to Manchester City. Their elimination from the Champions League by Bayern Munich further added to their tough week.
