West Ham United are reportedly in surprise talks to appoint Ruben Amorim as manager when David Moyes’ contract expires this summer.
The Sporting Lisbon boss has been strongly tipped to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, but that outcome is now said to be unlikely. Ruben Amorim was tipped for the Liverpool job. (Image: Getty)
Amorim has reportedly featured prominently in West Ham’s thinking as they plan for Moyes’ potential exit, and the opportunity is said to appeal to him.
West Ham are also claimed to have assessed former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui as an option, but Amorim is the east London outfit’s top choice. However, the report adds that while Amorim has been under consideration at Anfield, he appears unlikely to be the preferred candidate among Liverpool’s new-look sporting hierarchy helmed by the returning Michael Edwards.
