Former Chelsea midfielder Ramires, who left to play in the Chinese Super League in 2016, has undergone a notable transformation since his retirement. During his time at Chelsea, he played a pivotal role in the team’s success, particularly in their 2012 Champions League victory. Ramires’ career began with Brazilian sides Joinville and Cruzeiro before he made a move to Benfica.
His impressive performances in Portugal attracted the attention of top clubs in Europe, leading to his transfer to Chelsea in 2010 for £18million. During his six-year tenure at Chelsea, Ramires proved to be a versatile and influential midfielder, contributing to the team’s trophy wins and establishing himself as a key player in the Premier League. However, his playing time decreased under Guus Hiddink, prompting him to join Jiangsu Suning in the Chinese Super League, where he reunited with fellow Brazilian players.
After three years in China, he later joined Palmeiras. Ramires has since undergone a physical transformation, sporting longer hair and a beard, marking a significant departure from his appearance during his time at Chelsea.
