Liverpool are reportedly expecting Mohamed Salah to remain at Anfield this summer as he prepares to enter the final year of his contract. The Egypt international has given no indication that he wants to leave the club. Salah has been a star player for Liverpool since joining from Roma in 2017, with an impressive record of 210 goals and 88 assists in 346 appearances.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool is planning for life with Salah for at least another season and his contract will also be addressed in due course. The view in Saudi Arabia is that Salah won’t be heading for the Anfield exit in the summer. Salah has enjoyed a successful season, scoring 24 goals and providing 13 assists in all competitions. However, he has recently experienced a goal drought and was left out of the starting line-up for a crucial match.
This decision led to a heated exchange with manager Jurgen Klopp. The result of the match leaves Liverpool trailing in the Premier League standings. Salah refused to speak to the media after the match, hinting at tensions with Klopp. The Liverpool boss addressed the matter, confirming that it had been discussed with Salah in the dressing room.
