Arsenal stars Gabriel and Declan Rice have been accused of “wobbling” in the north London derby on Sunday. The Gunners allowed Tottenham back into the Premier League encounter in the second half, despite racing to a 3-0 lead during the opening period.

Even though the match ended 3-2 after a nervy finish, Arsenal has been in stellar form this season and led Manchester City by one point at the top of the table ahead of their clash with Spurs. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Bukayo Saka scored to give Arsenal the lead. However, a goal from Tottenham’s Cristian Romero and a penalty converted by Son Heung-min brought the match to a tense end, with Arsenal eventually securing the victory.

Football pundit Garth Crooks highlighted the impressive performance of Gunners centre-back William Saliba, noting that it’s no coincidence Arsenal is challenging Manchester City for the title while Saliba has not missed a game all season. Crooks also criticized the VAR decision that ruled out Micky van de Ven’s equaliser for offside. He questioned whether the technology took too long to make the decision and suggested that the offside rule should focus on preventing players from gaining a material advantage rather than comparing players’ body sizes.

Despite their strong form, Arsenal’s title race looks set to go down to the wire, with Manchester City having a crucial game in hand over the Gunners.
