Several Manchester United players may have played their last game under Erik ten Hag. The under-pressure Dutchman has set his stall out and knows which players he can rely upon for the final few games of the season.

He has not been afraid to rattle the cages of his players, with several likely to depart in the summer without putting on a United shirt again. Anthony Martial is out of contract at the end of the season and reportedly will leave on a free transfer after nine years at Old Trafford. Injuries have plagued his latter seasons, and it is unlikely that he will return before the final game of the season. Third-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton has not made a single appearance all season, and with his contract due to expire in the summer, he may not get off the mark barring injuries to other goalkeepers.

He is reportedly hopeful of earning a new contract at the club and joining the coaching staff. Jonny Evans, who returned to the club on a free transfer, has been sidelined due to a muscle issue and there is uncertainty about his return this season, which is also the last before the expiration of his current contract. Sancho, who was signed for £72m in 2021, has spent the past few months on loan at Borussia Dortmund. United reportedly remain open to selling the 24-year-old permanently to raise funds this summer.
