Manchester United’s home kit for the 2024-25 season has apparently been leaked online in an image shared on TikTok. The kits have allegedly drawn comparisons to earlier designs, including a nostalgic resemblance to the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons under Sir Alex Ferguson. The new shirts feature the ‘Snapdragon’ logo, the sponsor slated to appear on the front of the kits from the upcoming season, along with the Adidas logo, the club’s official manufacturing partner.
There is also a leaked image of United’s potential away kit for next season, which carries a black and white striped design reminiscent of some of United’s first teams. The current black and white striped away shirt is a nod to the color scheme worn by some of United’s first teams. In 2023-24, a white collar on the home red shirt bore a likeness to shirts worn in the Treble-winning 1998-99 season.
United will be hoping for better results on the pitch next season, as they currently sit sixth in the Premier League and face a battle to qualify for the elite European competition. Despite an unbeaten run since the turn of the year, a poor run of form prior to Christmas has left the Dutch head coach’s position under scrutiny, after the team was eliminated from the Champions League and Carabao Cup. It is yet to be officially announced whether these leaked kits will be the ones worn by United next season.
If they are the real kits, Adidas appears to have drawn inspiration from the 2000s, when Manchester United continued to dominate English and European football.
