John Murtough’s transfer talks in Saudi Arabia at the end of last year now make sense, as Al-Nassr reportedly target a double Manchester United swoop as early as this month. Cristiano Ronaldo could be set to reunite with two of his former team-mates in the Middle East in the closing stages of the January transfer window.
The report claims they could move for Wan-Bissaka sooner, having seen a £20m bid for Tottenham Hotspur right-back Emerson Royal rejected last week. Casemiro is the top earner at Old Trafford, pocketing around £18.2m per year. Wan-Bissaka earns in the region of £4.7m annually. In a summer when United are expected to offload several high-earning players – including Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho – cashing in on Casemiro and Wan-Bissaka would boost finances further.
