Tottenham reportedly approach Bayern chief for Harry Kane transfer discussions

Tottenham have reportedly been linked with Marco Neppe, the technical director of Bayern Munich. Neppe is expected to leave Bayern, presenting an opportunity for Tottenham to pursue their target. It is reported that Tottenham had previously expressed interest in acquiring Neppe for their recruitment team, and discussions are now taking place to terminate his contract with Bayern. Neppe has played a significant role in Bayern’s success since joining in 2014, starting as a scout and eventually being promoted to his current position. However, Bayern will soon see changes, with Max Eberl set to become the new sporting director in February.

Neppe’s potential move to Tottenham is likely due to his previous transfer dealings with the club. There have been positive impacts from Tottenham’s transfer deals over the past year, including the arrivals of James Maddison, Micky van de Ven, Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie, and Brennan Johnson. Chairman Daniel Levy has taken a backseat, allowing technical director Johan Lange and managing director Scott Munn to build on the work of Fabio Paratici. Tottenham has been active in the January transfer market, acquiring Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin.

Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham’s manager, has revealed the behind-the-scenes work that drives recruitment at the club. He has been in contact with Levy and Lange about transfer plans, although he is not involved in daily meetings, as that is the responsibility of the relevant personnel.

In other news, Tottenham has unveiled their new all-white kit for the 2023/2024 season. The kit retains the traditional Spurs style with navy cuffs and a pattern inspired by the music scene and eclectic streetwear of Tottenham.
