Man Utd Already Decides Next Signing Following Man City’s Omar Berrada’s Move

The quiet January transfer window for Manchester United suggests that the club’s focus is on other priorities leading up to the summer. Steps are being taken with the Glazer family to ensure that the team is well-prepared for the upcoming season under INEOS’ ownership. The surprising arrival of Berrada, before INEOS officially takes control, has raised speculation about the club’s intentions. There is a strong emphasis on finding elite football figures that have been lacking at United for the past decade.

There are plans to replace current football director John Murtough with a more experienced executive to improve the club’s recruitment. United is said to be looking to attract individuals from successful organizations to bring immediate benefits. Newcastle United’s Dan Ashworth is rumored to be a leading candidate for the position, but INEOS is prepared to make sure that the right individuals are brought in to form a new structure at United. Other potential candidates for director roles at Old Trafford include Paul Mitchell, Michael Edwards, Julian Ward, Dougie Freedman, and Andrea Berta. All appointments are expected to be finalized by the end of the season, with candidates requiring gardening leave before starting their new roles.
