Manchester United could anger Mason Greenwood with a ‘surprising £12m decision’
The Man Utd squad is reportedly tired of Marcus Rashford’s selfish behavior and has turned on the forward. Reports suggest that Manchester United has shown interest in Getafe striker Borja Mayoral while monitoring Mason Greenwood’s progress.
Erik ten Hag could upset Greenwood by pursuing a late January deal or the 26-year-old striker in the summer transfer window. United has been keeping track of Greenwood’s development during his loan at Getafe and will assess his future upon his return to Old Trafford in the summer.
Greenwood has impressed during his time in Spain, scoring six goals and providing four assists in 20 appearances. Despite initial backlash, there are suggestions that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS could attempt to reintegrate Greenwood.
However, United is more likely to receive a transfer fee for their academy graduate, with reported interest from Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, among other European clubs.
