Tottenham news: Johan Lange considering late departure, which could pave the way for a £67m double deal

The striker’s exit could pave the way for technical director Johan Lange to finish the January transfer window in style. Dominic Solanke and Lucas Bergvall are both firmly on Spurs’ radar.

The 20-year-old has still managed to score a goal in just 45 minutes of play, and Sevilla is keen to offer him regular football. According to The Athletic, Spurs will decide on deadline day whether to sanction the youngster’s exit.

Losing Veliz would free up space in Ange Postecoglou’s squad for another striker, and the north Londoners are rumored to be eyeing up Solanke. Rated at £50 million by Bournemouth, the England international has been in sparkling form this season, with only Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah scoring more goals in the top flight.

The Turkish international’s arrival may convince the Cherries to let go of Solanke if his asking price is met. Along with Solanke, the Lilywhites are reportedly chasing Bergvall, with a bid submitted to land the Swedish teenager.

The 17-year-old is already a senior international and a regular starter with Djurgardens. It could take a bid of £17m to get the deal done, meaning Spurs may spend £67m before the end of the day if they manage to land both Solanke and Bergvall.

Postecoglou’s exciting brand of football holds pulling power in the transfer market, and morale remains high at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after Wednesday’s 3-2 win over Brentford.
