Tottenham news: What Djed Spence did before Leeds exit to cause Daniel Farke to lose patience

Djed Spence’s season-long loan from Tottenham to Leeds United was unsuccessful. Leeds had hoped for a good deal, but Spence only made seven Championship appearances without scoring a goal or providing an assist.

According to The Athletic, Leeds manager Daniel Farke was unhappy with Spence’s attitude and punctuality. Farke decided to end the loan deal and Spence was sent back to north London, while Leeds signed Connor Roberts as a right-back option.

Meanwhile, Spence was transferred to Genoa in Serie A with a reported option-to-buy clause of £8.5m. Tottenham have other options for the right-back position and may seek to convert some loan deals into permanent agreements in the summer.

Djed Spence’s future with Tottenham remains uncertain. Farke, when asked about the end of Spence’s loan, wished him well, saying, “He’s a player of great potential and also a cool guy with a really good heart so we really wish him all the best.”
