Mauricio Pochettino revela el principal objetivo de transferencia del Chelsea para el verano

Mauricio Pochettino discussed the Chelsea project after their defeat at Liverpool. Last night, Pochettino revealed one of Chelsea’s main transfer targets for this summer: a skilled free-kick taker. Despite Chelsea making no signings in the recent transfer window, their season hit a low point with a 4-1 defeat at Anfield, marking their sixth away loss in 11 league games. Pochettino expressed contentment with the squad, but admitted the team’s deficiency in free-kick specialists.

Chelsea has scored only five set-piece goals (excluding penalties) this season, ranking 12th in the Premier League. Pochettino emphasized the need for a player like Ward-Prowse to improve the team’s set-piece proficiency. He acknowledged their work on set-pieces but stressed the importance of player quality and having skilled takers. In terms of players, England star Chilwell recently returned after a four-month injury, while Enzo Fernandez and Reece James, who also take set-pieces, have been sidelined.

Pochettino stated satisfaction with the squad’s improvement over the last two months and asserted that they have the players they want.
