Martin Odegaard responde a Jamie Carragher después de que el Arsenal derrotara al Liverpool

After Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Liverpool, Martin Odegaard, the team captain, faced criticism from Jamie Carragher for his post-match celebrations which included staying on the pitch for a prolonged period and taking photos with the club photographer. Carragher, a Sky pundit and former Liverpool player, expressed his disapproval of the celebrations on air and on social media. Gary Neville also labeled the behavior as “immature,” and the incident drew comparisons to a previous Arsenal celebration that backfired during the 2015/16 season.

Odegaard, in response, defended the team’s right to celebrate, emphasizing the importance of the win and the quality shown by the team in a crucial game. He acknowledged the significance of the victory, which narrowed the gap between Arsenal and the Premier League leaders to two points, but emphasized the need to remain humble and focused, with Manchester City potentially drawing level with them in the standings. He also highlighted the team’s determination to learn from past setbacks and improve, emphasizing the long road ahead with 15 league matches still to play.

Odegaard stressed the importance of maintaining humility and continuing to work hard to overcome areas needing improvement.
