Todd Boehly ‘proposes Chelsea players to Besiktas’ involving player Pochettino humiliated

Todd Boehly, the co-owner of Chelsea, has been working hard to offload fringe players in an effort to raise funds for the club ahead of the summer transfer window. Since Boehly’s takeover, Chelsea has spent over £1 billion on new arrivals, leading to an overpopulated squad and financial struggles to comply with regulations. The club’s poor performance, currently sitting 11th in the Premier League, has added urgency to the need for offloading surplus players. Reports suggest that Boehly has been trying to clear the decks at Stamford Bridge by offering three fringe players to Turkish club Besiktas, as the Premier League transfer window was closed but the Turkish market remained open.

It has been reported that Malang Sarr, Deivid Washington, and Andrey Santos have been offered to Besiktas, with the latter being loaned out to sister club Strasbourg until the end of the season. Sarr, in particular, has had a difficult time at Chelsea since joining in 2020, struggling for game time and being loaned out to Porto and Monaco. Boehly’s attempts to offload players late in the winter window were unsuccessful, and he will now be looking to part ways with fringe players early in the summer in order to alleviate financial pressures at the club.
