Former Arsenal player, 28, hospitalized and placed on ventilator

Kristoffer Olsson, a former Arsenal star, is currently receiving treatment at Aarhus University Hospital after losing consciousness at home. The 28-year-old is on a ventilator due to suffering from an acute disease related to the brain. Olsson’s current club, FC Midtjylland, issued a statement clarifying that his condition is not due to self-harm or external factors.

The club emphasized that a team of medical experts is working to make a diagnosis and initiate the right treatment. FC Midtjylland urged the public to show respect and understanding for Olsson, his family, and the medical team. They expressed deep concern for his sudden illness and extended their full support to Olsson and his family.

Olsson, who joined Arsenal as a youth prospect in 2011, spent three years at the Emirates Stadium before moving to Midtjylland in 2014. He has also played for teams such as AIK, Krasnodar, and Anderlecht, before returning to Midtjylland in 2022. AIK, Olsson’s former club, also issued a statement expressing their support for him and his family.

The Swedish national team also sent their best wishes to Olsson, hoping for his swift recovery. The football community has come together to support and send well-wishes to Olsson and his family during this difficult time.
