Liverpool must quickly secure the next Lamine Yamal before Man City takes action.

Premier League clubs are monitoring a 16-year-old player who is dissatisfied with his lack of playing time at Real Madrid. This is due to the success of his fellow countryman, Lamine Yamal, who is excelling at Barcelona.

Yamal and Iago are both considered to be two of Spain’s most promising young talents. While they progressed together through the international youth ranks, Yamal debuted for Barcelona’s first team at the age of 15, and has since become a regular starter under Xavi.

Iago, on the other hand, has been primarily playing for Real Madrid’s Under-19s and has not had the opportunity to play for Carlo Ancelotti’s senior squad. Reportedly, the midfielder is open to leaving Real Madrid, and there is interest from Premier League and Bundesliga clubs.

Furthermore, being a client of Jorge Mendes, teams with ties to the Portuguese agent may have an advantage in securing his signature. While Liverpool’s interest in Iago is uncertain, top clubs across Europe are likely to be keeping tabs on his situation should he decide to leave Real Madrid.

Manchester City, with their connections to Mendes, are also thought to be potential suitors. Wolves, with their Portuguese contingent, may also be in the mix, but the extent of their influence remains to be seen.

The potential signing of Iago could provide a morale boost for Liverpool, especially after the departure of Jurgen Klopp. Time is of the essence for the club, as they would need to act swiftly to leverage their relationship with Mendes and potentially secure the young talent’s services.
