Marcus Rashford endured yet another frustrating afternoon for Manchester United on Saturday. Rashford’s chances of leaving Old Trafford have reportedly diminished as Paris Saint-Germain has shown no interest in the Manchester United player.

Despite playing the entire 90 minutes in the match against Bournemouth on Saturday, Rashford received criticism for his lackluster performance. It was rumored that Rashford might be a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe at PSG, with the Frenchman potentially moving to Real Madrid. However, according to The Sun, PSG is no longer interested in signing Rashford. Rashford signed a lucrative contract with Manchester United last year, set to run until the summer of 2028.

This development could represent a setback in Rashford’s career, as the English champions have struggled again this season. Their match against Bournemouth on Saturday marked the 17th occasion they dropped points this season. Rashford has scored only seven league goals throughout the season. Erik ten Hag’s side has managed only one win in their last seven Premier League matches, a disappointing run of form from the middle of February.

This poor performance is unusual for one of English football’s biggest institutions, with Ten Hag describing his side’s showing as “not good enough.” After the match at the Vitality Stadium, Ten Hag expressed his disappointment, stating that the team did not deserve more, stressing on the crucial stage of the season and the team’s performance. Manchester United now face a near-impossible task to qualify for the Champions League, with a 10-point gap separating them from the top-four teams. Falling behind in games has been identified as a significant problem for United this term, according to the former Ajax manager.

He noted the weakness at the back of the team and the unnecessary loss of position during games and emphasized the need to improve this aspect.
