Frank Lampard has reportedly ruled himself out of the running to become the manager of the Canada national team. The ex-Chelsea boss was among those shortlisted for the role but snubbed the opportunity.

He has been out of work since his interim tenure at Chelsea last season following Graham Potter’s time as manager. Lampard has been linked with clubs in Europe and the EFL. The Canada national team had reportedly shortlisted Lampard as a potential long-term appointment, but he has now ruled himself out of the running.

Lampard has expressed his desire to return to management when the right opportunity arises, and he is unlikely to be short of suitors given his past performances at Derby County, Everton, and Chelsea. Lampard recently attended England’s training camp and expressed his enjoyment of family life while also keen to get back to work. He has emphasized his interest in working with players and improving teams.

Canada will need to look elsewhere for a new manager to succeed Mauro Biello.
