After winning only one of their six games and finishing at the bottom of their Champions League group, there is speculation about Ten Hag’s potential dismissal. The club’s performance in the Carabao Cup and the Premier League has also raised concerns, leaving them battling to avoid missing out on European spots.

The FA Cup presents a chance for Ten Hag to secure a second piece of silverware, but the pressure remains high given the team’s recent struggles. The speculation about Ten Hag’s potential dismissal has led to discussions about the options to replace him, as other top clubs are also seeking new managers.

This includes Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool, potentially leaving Manchester United with limited convincing options. According to reports, Graham Potter and Roberto De Zerbi are currently the front-runners to succeed Ten Hag.

Potter, who is a free agent, has garnered interest despite his previous struggles at Chelsea. De Zerbi, his replacement at Brighton, has also been linked with several top jobs.

Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann is also of interest, but he is expected to return to Bayern Munich after the Euro 2024 competition. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, who are now in charge of football operations at Old Trafford, are reportedly focused on making best-in-class appointments to restore the club’s reputation.

Both Potter and De Zerbi are seemingly high on INEOS’ shortlist, indicating the potential for changes in the club’s management.
