Nottingham Forest expressed anger over decisions made by referee Anthony Taylor following their 2-0 defeat against Everton. They were particularly upset with the PGMOL and the VAR process. The club accused the PGMOL of a conflict of interest by appointing Stuart Attwell as the VAR, claiming he supports Luton.

Despite their frustration, Crystal Palace made fun of Nottingham Forest on social media after their win against West Ham, taking a dig at Forest’s earlier post. Palace’s light-hearted response came after their 5-2 victory, which positioned them away from relegation danger onto 36 points. Nottingham Forest has had a long-standing issue with the PGMOL, submitting evidence of decisions going against them earlier in the season. Despite efforts to improve relations through the appointment of former Premier League official Mark Clattenburg, the tensions persist.

With a battle against Premier League relegation, Forest still has challenging fixtures ahead, including facing Manchester City and in-form Chelsea, as well as trips to relegation rivals Sheffield United and Burnley.
