Manchester United may be worrying about the fitness of forward Marcus Rashford after he was spotted hobbling following their FA Cup victory over Coventry at Wembley Stadium. Rashford was substituted in added time at the end of the semi-final and did not make it into the extended period, being replaced by Amad Diallo. It was initially assumed to be a tactical substitution, but it now appears that Rashford was injured.

Video footage from the mixed zone shows Rashford hobbling out of Wembley, raising concerns about his availability for the upcoming Premier League clash with Sheffield United. An injury crisis has hit Manchester United’s squad in recent weeks, with Casemiro being forced to play as a centre-back in the win over Coventry. Rashford has had a challenging season but has played a part in United’s run to the FA Cup final. United will face Manchester City in the final, following their win over Coventry on spot-kicks secured by Rasmus Hojlund’s penalty.

Manager Erik ten Hag expressed mixed emotions after the game, feeling disappointed by the way his players allowed their 3-0 lead to slip, while also acknowledging their resilience to win the shootout. With Champions League qualification now unlikely, winning the FA Cup represents United’s only chance for success this season.
