Man Utd staff ‘troubled’ by INEOS decision ahead of FA Cup final, reports Express.co.uk sports section.

The upcoming FA Cup final presents a change in the policy regarding ticket allocation for staff working for United under INEOS’s management. In the past, all 1,100 staff members were provided with free tickets, while senior staff and directors were allowed to bring guests and received additional benefits such as travel, pre-match parties, and hotel accommodation.

However, under INEOS’s leadership, the new policy entails that staff will receive only one free ticket, and senior staff and directors will have the same limit. In addition, staff must now pay for coach travel to and from Wembley and other benefits have reportedly been removed.

This decision is seen by some as a cost-cutting measure driven by austerity. INEOS’s focus on financial sustainability and profitability is evident in its efforts to control the club’s expenditure.

It is emphasized that investment is needed to ensure the club’s return to the top of football, both in Europe and globally. Moreover, the potential appointment of Dan Ashworth as the sporting director has led to legal action, with Ashworth contesting his gardening leave period imposed by his current club, Newcastle, to join United.

These changes in policy and potential staff restructuring reflect INEOS’s determination to prioritize the financial health and performance of Manchester United.
