He believes that Jackson has a lot to offer at Chelsea. Recently, Jackson has faced criticism for his decision-making in the final third, leading to suggestions that he might be replaced over the summer.

Despite possessing a squad worth over £1 billion, Chelsea currently sits ninth in the Premier League, five points outside of the European spots. Cole Palmer has been Chelsea’s most important player this season, sparking discussions about whether he deserves the Player of the Year award. However, Neville has also praised Jackson, who has scored 13 goals and assisted five in 39 appearances. Though he could have achieved more with greater composure in the penalty area, Neville believes Jackson has the potential to be a valuable second-choice striker at Chelsea.

Neville shared his opinion on his podcast, expressing his liking for Jackson and acknowledging his performance inconsistencies. He also mentioned the likelihood of Chelsea adding a new striker in the upcoming summer transfer window, potentially relieving some of the pressure on Jackson. Napoli star Victor Osimhen and Brentford’s Ivan Toney are among those being considered by the club’s decision-makers.
