According to the Mail, INEOS haven’t yet made a call on his future amid increasing uncertainty worsened by continued underwhelming performances and results. United’s new football hierarchy isn’t expected to make a decision until after the FA Cup final, leaving Ten Hag with time to salvage a poor second season. United will qualify for the Europa League no matter where they finish in the Premier League if they lift the FA Cup at the end of May. If City retain their crown, fifth and sixth in the Premier League will qualify, with seventh earning a spot in the Conference League due to Liverpool – in next season’s Champions League – winning the Carabao Cup.
United are currently sixth, one point ahead of Newcastle United in seventh and five ahead of eighth-place West Ham United, having played a game more than the Hammers. But they face a tricky run-in, featuring trips to Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion and home clashes with European rivals Newcastle and title-chasing Arsenal.
