Manchester United is expected to part ways with their academy graduate at the end of the season. The interest from Massimiliano Allegri’s side could present them with an exciting swap deal opportunity.

Greenwood spent almost two years on the sidelines and away from professional football after he was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behavior, and assault in January 2022. However, those charges were dropped in February 2023, with Greenwood denying any wrongdoing. Getafe secured the services of the forward on loan after United ruled that he would not remain part of Erik ten Hag’s side.

The 22-year-old has managed to get his career back on track with the La Liga outfit, scoring eight goals and assisting another six in 28 league appearances. His performances have attracted attention from Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid among others. A ‘number of clubs’ are interested in the striker, but Juventus could hold the upper hand in negotiations if they are willing to part ways with Gleison Bremer.

United has set a £40 million price tag on Greenwood and is considering another loan move. Opening talks with the player over a fresh deal at the Theatre of Dreams is also an option on the table to ensure they don’t lose him for free.
